I am a recording professional musician, photographer, and certified horologist by trade; I post mostly fine-art black and white images of my travels around the world and occasionally a few color works as well. The images I post are my reality the way I see the world around me in my minds eye, sometimes very mysterious and somber while others will be a very literal interpretation of what was in front of the lens. I almost never manipulate multiple images, but I do force perspectives and dodge and burn in a traditional sense to achieve the results I saw in my mind when first encountering a given scene. I shoot both digital and film in various formats and am just as comfortable in a darkroom as many would be in Photoshop.

For the last few years I have challenged myself to shoot with a tiny digital camera (and I do mean tiny)after shooting many years with large format one. The idea was to limit myself to force myself to see in a different way and to ultimately, hopefully, shoot better and become more expressive not having the hindrance of literally pounds of camera and gear to worry about. I do not claim to be great or even good at what I do, it is not about being the the top or the best but all about expression of the human soul through art and in this instance mine.

Below is a link to a few of my original pieces of music from my CD's and live performances I recommend trying the song "Madrid" first.

Thank you I really enjoyed that piece! The first link was a lot of fun and rather nostalgic in its sound, look and feel but the remix is pure genius. A very creative acapella arrangement of an already beautiful song. You are correct he is very talented and yes I liked it very much. There is not a lot of American music I listen to, most of my music library is diversely cultural and I enjoy and favor new and old blends from the Middle East or classical Europe. My own style is a blend of classical Spanish and Jazz fusion, lately I have been listening to a lot of Ethiopian and Hebrew music; here are two of my favorites [link] and [link] The last link is Idan, he never has a bad piece of music ever and of course the late Ravi Shanka and his very talented daughter Anoushka. She is currently blending my style of flamenco with her truly magical and very accomplished style of sitar, it is nothing less then amazing. This is a link to one of her concerts in 2012 I have to see her live at some point; I went to a lot of concerts last year including Idan, meeting him was an honor! I love your taste in music by the way, you have never sent me a link I did not like! Thank you Bhakti! :)

Glad you enjoyed the piece :) The original song was composed by Jatin and Lalit Jasraj sons of Pandit Jasraj who is an awesome Indian classical singer. The song was a superhit on charts and still is! I love it because I am a lot like the main lead dreamy and foolish LOL also it portrays the Middle class lifestyle (which is my lifestyle) I can relate to the song in every way lol. Yes the guy is pure genius!

Idan is awesome! Thanks for sharing the links, I really enjoyed them  I really want to take Sitar lessons... let's see what future offers me :)

My taste of music is a little different than the normal people. I mostly love folk songs and songs that captivate my soul. You're so welcome

Songs that captivate is what I look for usually, a friend of mine from Canada is a master veteran lyricist. His songs are poetry if read without the music he writes along with them, they are deep and driven by human rights issues and political events that move him in someway to speak out. That may sound harsh but he is a genius at doing that style correctly; recently he was given the highest honor, being added to the Royal Order of Canada and was also featured on one of their national postage stamps. You may find his lyrics and music of interest, his name is Bruce Cockburn, there is actually an image of me and him in my gallery. I did enjoy the links and went searching for more of the same after, full of dreams and foolish that's me too lol. I never put myself in a class, as social stratification can be such a limiting issue and carry with it all manner of sigmas in my country. I try to see everyone on the same level, but if I had to be somewhere, middle to upper is where I have come from as well so I also enjoy themes that portray vignettes or slices of life such as that video. It was a great piece! Thank you Bhakti.
